At a time when the only economic plan President Downgrade has presented is to tax the wealthy into bankruptcy so he can spend more on his social justice agenda, you’d think he would want to increase the number of rich people. You’d be wrong:

Newsalert has posted a chart from a Wall Street Journal blog titled “Recession and the Rich.” The chart, based on 2009 IRS figures, shows that the number of taxpayers reporting annual income over $1 million fell 39 percent between 2007 and 2009; the number of super-wealthy individuals making over $10 million annually plunged 55 percent.

On the one hand, Obama needs the rich to fund his wealth redistribution social justice policy agenda; on the other hand by raising taxes to ridiculously high levels on the people who provide the jobs our economy needs, he is destroying the country’s ability to recover from the economic abyss he has put it into.

President Downgrade’s domestic economic policies are destroying the capitalist engine which drives the economy of this country. There is no way the economy can recover without this engine running at peak power and efficiency. Unless Obama’s odious regulatory burdens and life-sucking tax policies are removed and/or reversed soon, the economy may never be able to recover.

So, how’s that hopey-changey stuff working out for you?

After having failed to show even a scintilla of leadership during the debt ceiling debate, President Downgrade now wants you to believe that Things such as the Arab Spring, Japanese Tsunami, and the European economy are solely to blame for the credit rating downgrade. He doesn’t mention the fact that he never, ever submitted a plan for raising the debt ceiling, preferring instead to offer vapid generalities like, “I’ll consider entitlement reform,” or “I’ll consider raising the eligibility age for Social Security.” In fact, the only idea he was specific and precise on was that he wanted to raise taxes. Even then, when the Republicans agreed to raise taxes by over $800 billion, President Downgrade first agreed only to pull the rug out from everybody by demanding another $400 billion in taxes before he would agree.

If you listen to President Downgrade’s henchmen in the Congress, this is all the fault of the Tea Party. Never mind that they were elected on the promise of making huge spending cuts to bring the deficit and debt under control. Who are they to do what they said they would do? Well, obviously, they’re NOT DEMOCRATS. Oh yeah, by the way, where exactly is the Democrats’ proposed 2011 and 2012 budget? Obama sent one to the Senate a while back, and it was rejected by every Senator who voted (including Democrats). All the Democrats can complain about is that they can’t spend more and more taxpayer money to implement their wealth redistribution schemes. This, despite the fact that the Obama Administration, since the beginning of 2009, has increased the National Debt by an average of $4.5 billion per day. To contrast, George W. Bush raised the debt an average of $1.6 billion per day and Bill Clinton raised it an average of $560 million a day.

This is what happens when you elect an empty suit with no executive experience to be the nation’s top executive. It doesn’t have anything to do with his skin color, and it doesn’t have anything to do with where he was born. It has to do with what he does (or doesn’t) know. President Downgrade doesn’t know squat about running a nation, guiding its economy, or creating an environment where the free market can create jobs. All he knows about is taking hard earned money and property from those who work for it, and giving to those who don’t.

Look around. This is what happens when Democrats are allowed to implement their ideas. Do you really think it is worth it?

In his latest attempt to demonstrate the “hope” and “change” his administration was supposed to represent, Barack Obama said this when asked if he could guarantee that Social Security checks would go out as scheduled:

A failure to raise the nation’s debt ceiling could result in some seniors not receiving Social Security checks, President Obama said in an interview with CBS News that will air Tuesday evening.

“I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it,” Obama told “CBS Evening News” anchor Scott Pelley.

What he isn’t saying here is that he has the power to prioritize which payments would be made if the debt ceiling isn’t raised. In other words, he can guarantee that Social Security checks would go out by making them the first priority to go out; he can let other debt payments languish unpaid if he wanted.

A group of House Republicans led by U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro, charged today that President Obama is needlessly scaring seniors over the ongoing debt ceiling debate.

“Quit scaring America,” said Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, who joined Crawford at a news conference outside the U.S. Capitol. “We need to keep our promises and the money is there to do it.”

The Republicans sent a letter, signed by nearly 60 members, noting money is available to make interest payments, fund Social Security and issue paychecks to soldiers. If there is a cash flow problem, they said, the president could cut low-priority spending. They said implementing health reforms, for example.

“We’re here just to remind him that we want to make sure our seniors and soldiers are taken care of first and foremost and that we meet our financial obligations to our interest payments,” Crawford said. “We’re just calling on our president to assume the position of CEO and to prioritize accordingly.”

Of course, Obama is heeding the word of his pal Rahm Emanuel by “never letting a crisis go to waste.”He is leveraging the debt ceiling debate to scare seniors into supporting him.

At the same time, Obama continues to foment hate of the wealthy by insisting that they are not paying their fair share in taxes. He claims that the only way to fix the economy is for the public to accept “shared sacrifice.” Sounds nice, until you realize that this translates into “raise taxes on the rich and small business until they scream.” How is that “shared” sacrifice when every year close to 50% of all Americans pay absolutely no federal income taxes whatsoever?

Also, when Obama talks about more taxes on “millionaires, billionaires, and people with corporate jets,” its funny how he forgets to mention how General Electric paid no income taxes in 2010, while his pal Jeffrey Immelt enjoyed exclusive access to him as his chairman of his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. GE also owns MSNBC, the de facto media outlet for both the DNC and the Obama Re-Election Campaign. Can you say quid pro quo?

Fostering hate for the wealthy and scaring the hell out of old people are two of the oldest strategies in the Democrat Playbook. Clinton did it, Johnson did it, Kerry did it, and Gore did it. Obama stated that he was going to be a new kind of politician, he was going to change how politics works. Instead, he has simply proven that the old ways of politics have not only survived, but thrived under his administration.

Remember back in January of 2009, when Obama said this:

But at a staff meeting to swear in top aides, Obama dropped a bombshell. He was freezing their salaries.

“During this period of economic emergency, families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington,” Obama told the assembled staff.

He thanked the staff for accepting the restriction and said, “It’s a mark of your commitment to public service.”

The president said the salaries of everyone on the White House staff that exceeded $100,000 would be frozen. If the Obama White House pay structure is similar to that of the Bush White House, more than 100 staffers will have six-figure salaries.

A recent review of White House salaries reveals that 253 (74%) staffers got raises, and some of these staffers were already making $100K or more.

Obama famously instituted a salary freeze for all White House staffers earning more than $100,000 on his first day in office because “during this period of economic emergency, families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington.”

But there wasn’t a lot of belt-tightening for the rest of the staff: We crunched the numbers and found that, of the 344 White House employees who were listed on the payroll in both White House’s 2009 and 2010 salary reports, 253—or 74%—got raises in 2010. And among that lucky overwhelming majority, the average raise was 9%. And plenty of people making more than $100,000 a year did get a raise as long as a title change came with it.

That’s a lot better than most people did! According to the compensation-tracking firm Hewitt Associates, base salaries for executives and salaried workers went up 2.4% over the same time period. And John Challenger, the CEO of the executive consulting firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, says “nine percent is double what we’d see for most executives, and even more for the rank and file. In 2009, companies were in recession at least half the year. Raises were much more in the range of 2% to 3%, maybe 4% to 5% for executives.” And while Challenger says its not unusual for companies to reward 75% of staffers with annual raises, last year many firms skipped the practice. “Many more companies than normal cut raises altogether,” he says.

I don’t know about you, but the meager raise I got this year (the first raise in over four years) was less than 2%. One of the staffers (a speech writer) got a 66% raise. Another staffer (deputy press secretary), who was already making $113K per year, got a 33% raise. I guess Obama’s definition of “frozen” differs from the standard, English one which everyone else uses.

Look, I have no problem with people who work hard getting a raise. Hell, I work hard so that I will get a raise. However, if you are telling the American People that in order to show your commitment to public service you’re freezing staff salaries, why haven’t you done so? If you haven’t submitted a budget plan for the past two years, and the government is on the brink of shutting down due to lack of money, why are you giving out such extravagant raises? How can you lecture anyone about fiscal responsibility? How can you demand that taxes be raised on the American People?

It seems pretty obvious to me that there is a vacancy at the White House, specifically in the Oval Office. The sooner this vacancy is filled by the American People, the better for everyone.

I bet this “reporter” even managed to keep a straight face while he typed this. The Post is going to use regular people to rummage through 24,000 email messages sent or received by Sarah Palin during her term as Alaska’s Governor. Of course, the goal is to find anything at all which can be twisted (or perverted) into something the Democrat Party can use against Palin, should she decide to enter the 2012 Presidential race. Hell, I imagine they’ll try to ruin her whether she runs or not.

Remember the good ol’ days, when Democrat politicians ran their political hit-squads under the radar? Not Obama; he uses the Lamestream Media to do his dirty work, and they’re more than happy to do it.

This nightmare of a Presidency just gets worse and worse.

It seems that after almost three years in office, Obama has finally got his Administration and Congressional Democrats moving in the same direction. Unfortunately for the Country, that direction is leading to self-destruction.

Recent Polls show Obama’s job disapproval rating right around 50%, demonstrating that whatever boost he got from the Military’s elimination of Bin Laden has clearly disappeared. The latest unemployment numbers show an increase to 9.1% for May 2011, with almost no new jobs in the private sector. Even the Democrats in Congress are giving Obama the business over his military deployment to Libya, openly questioning its Constitutionality. Finally, as Obama crowed last week about how he “saved” the American automobile industry by using taxpayer money to bail them out, closer inspection of the actual numbers revealed,

…one of the most misleading collections of assertions we have seen in a short presidential speech. Virtually every claim by the president regarding the auto industry needs an asterisk, just like the fine print in that too-good-to-be-true car loan.

Was that Obama I heard cheering when “Weiner-gate” erupted onto the front pages of the nations papers?

Obama isn’t alone. Rep. Anthony Weiner sent The Tweet Heard ‘Round The World. I’m not going to say anything else about this story; it writes itself. Congressional Democrats continue to try to sell the voters on “Hope and Change,” this week by promising that they won’t do anything to fix the economic sinkhole known as Medicare, while blatantly lying about the Republicans’ proposal.

November of 2012 is still a long way off, but you gotta love the way this election is looking if you’re a Conservative.

Leave it to Obama to screw up what has been the one thing he’s done since his election which hasn’t, in some way, hurt America.

President Obama has made a “categorical” decision not to release any photos of Usama bin Laden’s dead body, according to the White House, citing concern that doing so could inflame sentiment against Americans.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday that the president consulted his national security team and ultimately decided it would be too risky to release any images of the body. Obama also determined the administration has already proved bin Laden is dead, he said.

Really? These radical sons-of-bitches flew airplanes filled with innocent people into buildings filled with innocent people, watched them burn or jump to their deaths, then celebrated on the streets of the Middle East. How much more inflamed can they get?

When all is said and done, this is just another weak-assed decision made by a weak-assed individual who is more worried about who likes him then what is right. These radicals are from the stone age, and the only proof of death they will accept is a picture or video. They hate us to the point of automatically believing the exact opposite of anything we say. Obama standing at a podium saying Bin Laden is dead won’t convince anyone in the Middle East of that fact. It isn’t like we’re talking about rational, thinking people here.

Crap. I was just about to write a post on how well I thought Obama had handled this whole situation, then he goes and does this.
