So now the "poor" are a Democratic special interest group?
I guess since wealthy fat cats are a Republican special interest group, then that only makes sense.
So tell me, can you come up with a historical example where your "very simple principle regarding economics" has been successfully applied? When have we ever had strong economic growth that coincided with government "cutting spending in a real and significant amount"?
Certainly not during and immediately after WWII when government spending boomed and our country grew to become the strongest nation in the world. Certainly not during the Reagan error when military spending went through the roof and the national debt tripled.
Perhaps you are referring to the Clinton years when the economy boomed and we managed to balance the budget?
Fortunately for all of us, President Obama is not following your foolish advice to slash government spending in the middle of a major recession. That would certainly be shooting ourselves in the foot, but after watching the Republicans during the Bush years I guess that is what they are best at.
