To reduce Health Cost by 33%-50% no new legislation or taxation is needed.
Simply REPEAL THE MCCARREN-FRGUSON ANTI TRUST EXEMPTION ACT OF 1945, which allows Health Insurance Comapnies to consult with other Health Insurance Companies and fix premiums and prevent foreign Insurance companies from selling health insurance to Americans in the USA, which they can do, COVERING ALL PRE-EXISITING CONDITIONS, for a fraction of the premiums charged by Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Call or write to your Incumbent Senator or Representative, that if you Do not see proof that this repressive laws has been removed and such legislation has been signed by the President on or before 10-15-2010, you will vote in November 2010, for his opponent, whoever he or she may be.
Remeber in NOVEMBER 2010 YOUR VOTE CONTROLS ALL THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS dontaed to all the candidates in the Congress. If you throw them out, they not only lose their billions, but also their Congressional pay and perks, including their Royal Health Insurance Plans.

rxvette: I read your post, and there are some good ideas there. However, all the proposed government takeover of health care is going to do is change which non-medical personnel will be deciding what care we can and cannot get. It doesn’t propose to change that, nor does it propose anything which will lower the cost of health care. In fact, by capping reimbursements to doctors for their work, it will actually reduce the number of doctors available to Americans.

If you read any of my posts regarding my recent health problems, you know that I am knee-deep into the current health care system. No one knows more than me that it is far from perfect. However, unlike in other countries, it is a rare thing for a person to die for want of medical care in this country. I can’t remember the last time I had to wait longer than 3 days to get an x-ray or MRI exam. Finally, while I have had to fight with my insurance company occasionally, they have always ended up paying for whatever procedure my doctors have wanted me to have.

People from all over the world come to this country to get medical care because it is the best in the world. A government takeover of our health care system would only ruin it and reduce the standard of care for all Americans.

Reiuxcat: I don’t believe that the left believes that all of the opposition to the government takeover of health care is all manufactured. I think they are just saying this to try to convince everyone who disagrees with them that it is manufactured. The anger from middle America is real, and they ignore it or write it off at their own peril.

Vinnie is doing great. Yes, he has settled in, and every morning he is sitting at my bedroom door to greet me when I get up.

I always find it interesting that opponents to health care reform argue that it will be the “death to all of us” or “it will restrict our choices” or “medical decisions will be made by bureaucrats”.

It is the current unregulated capitalistic private insurance companies who are actually fulfilling their worst nightmare right now. “Death to us all” – private insurance companies are literally killing patients right now by denying lifesaving care like in the case of Cigna’s denial of Natalie Sarkisyan’s care.

“It will restrict our choices” which is exactly what our private insurers are doing. I have private coverage myself as a medical professional through my hospital who employs me. I’m restricted to a list of doctors I can see and also to only 4 hospitals in the local Tampa Bay area and if I seek medical care outside of this my insurer will put a majority of the financial cost on me so if I want somewhat affordable medical care I’m forced into their restrictive measures.

“Medical decisions will be made by bureaucrats” – in the private insurance market medical decisions aren’t made by myself or my doctor but rather by bureaucrats (executives and internal business analysts) from my private insurers when they decide what is covered and what is not.

Healthcare reform would put a stop to all this and I’ve actually researched for hours on what the best way to achieve this is. Here’s my solutions – http://bit.ly/9QLV8

The fact that the democrats are believing that all this dissent is manufactuered and not real is mind boggling, yet not surprising either.
