My kidney doctor says my phosphorus is fine; that I am dealing with another problem with which all ESRD diabetics face. Let me get the specifics and I'll post the details.

I'll bet his phosphorus was too high. high phosphorus weakens the bones, and the femur is the most difficult bone in the body to break (supposedly).

When is the last time Nick saw his kidney doctor? He's taking his Phoslo and/or Tums with meals?

I'll put his name on the prayer list in the morning too.
