The Hildebeast™ has a plan to help Americans who were stupid enough to sign up for variable-rate sub-prime mortgages which they can no longer afford. Of course, you and I will have to pick up the tab:
In her address to about 250 people in a Derry elementary school gymnasium, Clinton criticized unscrupulous mortgage brokers who push customers into borrowing more to pad their commission or are dishonest about the true cost of the loan. To help curb the number of foreclosures, Clinton proposed setting up a $1 billion fund to assist homeowners in making arrangements with lending companies to stay in their home.
She also discussed the lack of affordable housing, an issue that is particularly a problem in New England. To promote more affordable housing construction, Clinton proposed another $1 billion fund which would be distributed to state, county and local affordable housing programs.
A billion here, a billion there — pretty soon you’re talking real tax money. What is it with people in Congress and their never-ending quest to spend more and more of the people’s money?
If you read the first paragraph of the above excerpt, you’ll see The Hildebeast™ creating a whole new class of victims; people who were “pushed” into mortgages they could not afford by “unscrupulous” mortgage brokers. Apparently, the American public, according to Clinton, is no longer responsible for their own financial decisions. Instead, Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Taxpayer is now going to protect them by giving them money so that they can continue to pay their mortgage payments. This is classic liberalism; create some victims, use the American taxpayer to “fix” their problems, create a dependency on those taxpayer funds, and then convince the public that if Conservatives are elected they’ll lose their “right” to own a home. When you boil her proposal down to the bare essentials, it is nothing more than welfare for homeowners.

The Hildebeast™ also wants to give out another billion dollars in taxpayer funds for “affordable housing.” What good is this going to do? The American taxpayer has been paying for affordable housing for the poor for years and years, and all that happens is that generation after generation of welfare-dependent people are created, stored, and allowed to feed off of public funds.
If you think that budget deficits are bad now, wait until The Hildebeast™ gets elected. All of these billion-dollar programs she is proposing have to be paid for, and the only way to do it would be to either raise taxes or cut defense spending during a time of war. Guess which one she’ll choose.
