In his latest attempt to insert himself into the mid-term elections, former President and convicted liar Bill Clinton said that the “Right-Wing” has taken over the country:
LAS VEGAS (AP) – The nation has been “jammed into an ideological corner” by conservative Republicans and is primed for a power shift in the November elections, former President Bill Clinton said Thursday.
“This is an election unlike any other I have ever participated in,” Clinton told Democratic supporters at a fundraiser in Las Vegas. “For six years this country has been totally dominated – not by the Republican Party, this is not fair to the Republican Party – by a narrow sliver of the Republican Party, its more right-wing and its most ideological element.”
“When the chips are down, this country has been jammed to the right, jammed into an ideological corner, alienated from its allies, and we’re in a lot of trouble,” he said.
Clinton is telling these people that a small group of people who belong to the “Right-Wing” has taken over the government of the United States and is the cause of all of our troubles. Forget about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and all of those other world events which have occurred, they were just the result of these right-wingers who are controlling everything. If only we had changed the Constitution and allowed Bill to serve another term as President, all of our allies would love us and the terrorists would never have dared to attack us.
Yeah, right.
“The Democratic Party has become the liberal and conservative party in America. If you want to be fiscally conservative, you’ve got to be for us. If you want to conserve natural resources, you’ve got to be for us,” he said. “If you want a change of course in Iraq … you’ve got to be for us.”
Clinton also attacked Republican tax cuts, describing a repeal of the estate tax as the GOP’s top legislative priority.
“They may think I should be able to give Chelsea every nickel, but I don’t,” Clinton said.
Now, read what Clinton is saying here carefully. It is a great representation of how he can lie without flinching while staring you straight in the face, all the while mixing in just enough of the truth to make you believe him.
- The Democratic Party has become the liberal and conservative party in America. The Democrat party doesn’t even have a vision for what it wants to achieve, which is how they can claim to be both liberal and conservative. In truth, they stand for nothing other than hatred for President Bush.
- If you want to be fiscally conservative, you’ve got to be for us. Need we mention Nancy Pelosi’s promise to raise taxes if the Democrats gain control of the House and/or Senate? Need we remind anyone of their repeated attempts to eliminate the Bush tax cuts?
- Clinton also attacked Republican tax cuts, describing a repeal of the estate tax as the GOP’s top legislative priority. “They may think I should be able to give Chelsea every nickel, but I don’t,” Clinton said. You read that right; Clinton wants the government to get more and more of your estate when you die. After all, Democrats don’t think of your property or wealth as yours, they think of it as having been borrowed from the government and they want it all back.
The truth here is that the Democrats want to raise your taxes so that they can use your money to pay for larger social and welfare programs to keep more and more people indebted to them. The Democrats stand for nothing but hatred of President Bush, and will do the exact opposite of anything he proposes just to make sure the President looks bad. They don’t care about the American people or what they need or want, only their hatred of Bush and their thirst for power.
Are Republicans perfect? Of course not. This whole mess with Foley proves that. However, look how the Republicans handled the Foley mess as compared to how the Democrats handled the Clinton mess. Foley was immediately ostracized, he immediately resigned his office, and several investigations are now getting underway. Clinton and the Democrats, however, claimed that the whole Lewinski mess was a product of a “vast right-wing conspiracy” and tried to block every attempt to investigate the matter. Clinton himself went on national television and lied to the American people. Democrats still call Clinton an “honest man” (remember Dan Rather’s conversation with Bill O’Reilly?).
It amazes me that some people still consider voting for these Democrats who do nothing other than show their absolute disdain for the people they are supposed to represent.
