Ted Rall: Pathetic Excuse for a Human Being

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Ted Rall has managed, yet again, to prove why he is the person most likely not to be missed if he were to fall off of the Earth today. In another one of his tasteless attempts at cartooning, Rall manages to lie about the 9/11 terrorist attacks, proffer a unsubstantiated conspiracy theory, and bash President Bush.

I really wasn’t going to bother to post about this, but then I read something on Rall’s site which provoked a little anger. In case you don’t know, Rall is currently soliciting money from his readers in order to bankroll a defamation lawsuit against Ann Coulter. You see, Coulter wrote in a column that Rall had submitted a cartoon mocking the Holocaust to an Iranian newspaper who was going to publish them in response to the Muhammad cartoons. Rall believes this is defamation of his character; I believe it is definition of his character.

Anyway, if you read his rant, Rall goes on and on for paragraphs about how Coulter is defaming him, and how she is just a vicious conservative who is a racist and hates Muslims. In a nutshell, Rall is complaining because Coulter is doing the exact same things he does, only she is doing it to him rather than the families of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, our members of the armed forces overseas in Iraq, and the President. Apparently Rall has a very thin skin. Who knew?

Ted, if you’re reading this, here’s some free advice from me to you: Drop the whole thing. All you’re doing is making youself look like a pathetic bully who can dish it out but not take it. Face it, you’ve been drawing cartoons insulting the memories of military personnel who died in Iraq and insulting the families of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and there isn’t a jury in the country who is going to give you anything. In the end, you’ll look like just what you are: a big baby.
