Every time I read the post on Daily KOS, I am reminded of the famous saying attributed to P.T. Barnum: “There’s a sucker born every minute!” The latest sucker, as demonstrated by this post, is someone named PaulVA:
So I looked at the Mine’s violations, and I found a lot of them. A heck of a lot. Most for about $60 (less than a speeding ticket), some for as much as $200 at some times and wow, there was even one for $440! Now that’s tough enforcement!
In reality, the slow creep away from enforcement, led by people like Cass Ballenger and Petetr Hoekstra and their GOP allies is what really caused this. Just think, what is more profitable?
Paying a total of $3,600 for 168 fines or paying a couple hundred thousand to fix those problems?
Sad as it is, it’s more profitable to pay those cheap fines, especially when you know the inspectors are going to come ahead of time anyways.

Somehow, while simultaneously attempting to steal Iraq’s oil, steal U.S. Presidential Elections, taking over the mass media, spying on all Americans, plotting to kill all of the caribou in Alaska with oil drilling, and killing all of the black people in New Orleans by using the military to blow up the levees, the Bush Administration has found the time to create and execute a conspiratorial plot to kill innocent coal miners in West Virginia. Remember, this is an Administration which is lead by George Bush, the least intelligent President ever to steal an election.
Do you now understand why the vast majority of American citizens refuse to trust this country’s security to the liberals in the Democrat Party?
