Ted Rall Hates America
Tuesday, December 27th, 2005It seems that Ted Rall may have gotten angry at having been passed over as Soulless Bastard of the Year, so he published this lame attempt at humor:
In the first panel, Rall equates the Palestinians with the Inn Keeper. In the second, third, and forth panels, Rall equates the Bush Administration with the Romans, suggesting that Haliburton and Bush hate Jesus Christ, and that they condone torture. The case could also be made that Rall is equating Jesus Christ with terrorists, given the fact that only people who are tied with terrorist groups are considered “enemy combatants.”
It goes without saying that Rall is an idiot. He has yet to provide any evidence to support his views of the Bush Administration or it’s policies. The best explanation for his views I can come up with is that he figures out what the enemy would say about the Administrations’ policies and actions, and then adopts that position as his own. He is not alone in doing this, as even a casual listener to various liberal news and opinion programs will note that the extreme left of the Democrat Party have been doing this for years.
The scary part of all this is that people who think like Ted Rall are fast becoming the base of the Democrat Party, and are therefore having an influence which may prove fatal to the party itself. I’m a firm believer in a two party system, and if the Democrat Party goes down in flames due to people like Rall taking control of it, the system will suffer tremendously. I am hoping that the rational members of the left will be able to form a new political party to represent them and their beliefs to take the place of the Democrat Party. This way the two party system survives and the left can weed-out the wackos from party leadership.
