Happy Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

I hope all of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. I plan to take my wife over to my in-laws house in Devine and share Thanksgiving dinner with the entire family, after which we’ll all sit around and watch the Cowboys do their best to lose a game to Denver.

Just a note to let everyone know that I am thankful for a lot of things this year. I am thankful for my wife for her love, care, and ability to get me to the hospital emergency room before I expire. It’s obvious, even to me, that without her I literally would not be here. I am thankful to her parents, Doran and Fran, who have become my parents. They do more for us than I could ever adequately thank them for. Whenever my wife or I need a hand, they are always the first ones there, and it is appreciated beyond words. I am thankful for my brother Marty and his wife, Lynn. They have always been there when we needed them and we try to do the same for them. I am thankful for Frank, Louisa, and Carolyn, my brother and sister-n-law and niece. Looking at them makes me remember the best parts of my childhood and all of the love and fun I had with my family growing up.

I hope you have similar blessings in your life to be thankful for.
