Helen Thomas: If Cheney Runs, I’ll Kill Myself

It seems like Helen Thomas has forgotten to take her medication again. The journalistic fossil had a few comments the other day about Vice President Cheney:

But asked this week if she is promoting a Cheney candidacy, Thomas made it clear she isn’t.

“The day I say Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I’ll kill myself,� she told The Hill. “All we need is one more liar.�

Thomas added, “I think he’d like to run, but it would be a sad day for the country if he does.�

The only thing I can say after such a statement is: Helen, please don’t make promises you have no intention of keeping.

If I had any faith in what she said, I’d make it my life’s ambition to convince Dick Cheney to run for President in 2008.

    No Liberal Bias Here

    Then again, she may be thinking of John Kerry, Howard Dean, and Hillary Clinton when she refers to “one more liar.” But I doubt it.
