Howard Dean Single-Handedly Destroying Democrats

Wednesday, July 27th, 2005

Howard Dean, the gift that keeps on giving to the Republican Party, is once again launching sound-bites which warm the hearts of Conservatives everywhere:

President Bush “only likes to hear from people who agree with him,” Dean told the College Democrats of America, and Republicans, he said, “are all about voter suppression.”

After asking the students to donate money to the Democratic National Committee, Dean said “one of the biggest problems in this culture of corruption that the Republicans brought to Washington, is they sold our government to the highest bidder.

“If we want it back, we’ll have to buy it back,” Dean said.

He also said the president was partly responsible for a recent Supreme Court decision involving eminent domain.

“The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is ‘okay’ to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is,” Dean said, not mentioning that until he nominated John Roberts to the Supreme Court this week, Bush had not appointed anyone to the high court.

Dean’s reference to the “right-wing” court was also erroneous. The four justices who dissented in the Kelo vs. New London case included the three most conservative members of the court – Chief Justice William Rehnquist and Associate Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. Justice Sandra Day O’Connor was the fourth dissenter.

This guy is too good to be true. I used to believe that in politics, absolutely no one who has managed to be elected to high office can be this stupid. I wonder what this says about the people in Vermont who voted for him.

“We are Democrats because we have moral values,” Dean said. “We think it’s a moral value to stop stealing money out of the Social Security trust fund.” The Democratic Party’s moral values, according to Dean, also include an obligation “to balance the budget,” and have a “strong public education system.”

The Democratic Party chairman suggested that Bush should be “reaching out and putting a collar and a mouthpiece on some of these people in his own party that are encouraging bigotry against immigrants in order to win the 2006 election.

“I am sick of being divided!” Dean shouted over the applause.

Democrats have moral values? Well, most probably do, but far-left liberals like Howard Dean and the rest of the Democrat Party brain trust relieved themselves of moral values a long time ago, when they championed the “right” of women to kill unborn children for no other reason than they wanted to. What kind of “moral values” allows one to fight for the rights of convicted criminals and terrorists, while at the same time working to deny law-abiding citizens the means to defend themselves from these very same criminals and terrorists?

As for bigotry against immigrants, I don’t call enforcing existing immigration laws “bigotry.” People who are here illegally need to be removed, regardless of where they came from. Finally, I don’t think selling your party’s soul to the teacher’s unions constitutes support for a strong public education system. In fact, it probably does more to hurt our kids than anything else.

A day after the Kelo decision was delivered, Freestar Media LLC submitted a proposal in the town of Weare, New Hampshire where majority opinion writer, Justice Souter, owns a farm house. They requested that the town board condemn the land and give it to them, as private developers, who promise to construct the Lost Liberty Hotel in its place. Their tax revenue would no doubt be higher than the reported $2,500 that Justice Souter paid in property taxes last year. It would create employment and attract tourism. The town has a website, and an economic development committee, which has identified its two main goals: 1) Encourage the formation of new businesses, and 2) Promote tourism. However, contrary to its stated goals and the legally sanctioned purpose of economic development, the town’s board turned down the proposal.

So much for poetic justice. Justice Souter’s influence in his community shielded him from his own ruling. No other rational justification can be found.

Thankfully, the legislative branch is now busy at work attempting to shield private property rights from the Supreme Court ruling. It seems that the two may have switched roles, with the House defending the Constitution, and the Supreme Court writing new laws.

I thought I saw Alice the other day! Or maybe it was Justice Souter –skipping in Wonderland, immune to and above the laws he passes.

I was surfing on yahoo when I came across this site, and what kind of a person “who cares,” asks students for money… it seems to me most of the democratic party are college students, and maybe if they focused mroe on school, and less on the filth and lies theyre told by grease balls, America just might be the the place it used to be…

Good job on the blog, I added it to my favorites
