ABC News Follows CBS News into the Dumpster
Thursday, January 20th, 2005You’d think that after all of the junk CBS News has gone through with the Memogate scandle, the other MSM outlets would be careful not to do something stupid. Well, you’d be wrong. In order to “balance” it’s coverage of President Bush’s Inaugural ceremony, ABC News decided to ask readers of it’s website to help them out:
Jan. 19, 2005 — For a possible Inauguration Day story on ABC News, we are trying to find out if there any military funerals for Iraq war casualties scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20. If you know of a funeral and whether the family might be willing to talk to ABC News, please fill out the form below:
Simply disgraceful. On the day the President will be sworn into office for his second term, ABC News takes the occassion to play politics and exploit the death of an American soilder/airman/Marine. Is it any wonder why most conservatives think Terry McAullife has the heads of the MSM organizations in his rolodex and on speed-dial?
Of course, ABC News has now taken the request off of their website, but Captain’s Quaters has a screenshot of the original page.
