Voter Turnout To Decide Election

Thursday, October 28th, 2004

Awhile back, I blogged about the importance of showing up at the polls next Tuesday. Since that time, other people have echoed that sentiment (see here, here, and here). As we get closer to Election Day, it is becoming even clearer that voter turnout will be the most important factor in who will win.

In Florida, lawyers for the Democratic Party are already filing suits challenging various aspects of the election. The intent behind these lawsuits is clear: the Democratic Party and their allies are trying to implant the seeds of doubt regarding the election results so that they can demand recounts as many times as it takes to ensure that they win. They care little for the voters they claim to champion; they care only about the political power they crave to reclaim.

“They care little for the voters they claim to champion; they care only about the political power they crave to reclaim.”

Voter registration fraud appears to be rampant in places like Ohio (see here and here). Is all of this fraud caused by Democrats? Likely not, but a large portion of it is happening in predominantly democratic areas. Although a lot of fraud has been found, you can not help but wonder how much has gone undetected. What can a person do to ensure that their vote will count?

While nothing can guarantee that the results on Wednesday morning will reflect any individual’s choices, the best thing to do is to make sure and show up at the polls on Tuesday and cast your ballot. Also, drag your friends and relatives to the polls with you and make sure that they vote. When you get right down to it, only a clear and decisive victory for the President will prevent the Democrats from using the courts to thwart the will of the people. Right now on the campaign trail, John Kerry is displaying his willingness to do or say anything to get elected. As an example, even though the facts are not yet known regarding the cache of explosives in the Al-Qaqaa weapons depot, Kerry is out on the trail blaming the President for failing to secure them. Kerry is saying this even though a NBC News reporter who was embedded with the troops who first reached the depot reports that the explosives in question were not there when they arrived. With this is mind, is there any doubt that Kerry will do anything to create doubt in the minds of Americans regarding the poll results?

Conservatives must go to the polls on Election Day to vote and to cast in stone their support of the President. If conservatives fail to cast their ballots in support of President Bush for any reason, the chances of waking up to a “President-elect Kerry” on Wednesday morning increases dramatically. The implications of this scenario are frightening and dangerous.

Please, go to the polls on November 2nd and show your support for the President. Now more than ever, you must stand up and be counted.

    Why Lawyers Are So Involved

I’ve mentioned in several previous posts that this election is all about the money. The Philly Inquirer has a story this morning about President Bush’s record on tort reform. Look no further for reasons why so many lawyers are hanging
